Jeff St John's article covers a lot of territory and is highly informative. While he mentions the substantial benefits of reconductoring the existing grid with Advanced Conductors (like ACCC Conductor), he points out that - under current policy - many utilities hesitate to make "small" investments when they get greater return for making "bigger" investments. Hopefully the URGENCY suggested in the new bills will encourage Utilities to leap forward and use modern technologies to build a modern grid to help reach decarbonization goals as cost-effectively and quickly as possible.
