Am I Good Enough?

As an Executive Leader I feel I spend a majority of my time self reflecting on my capabilities of being a leader. I am always trying to measure my output through different feedback loops. Am I being effective in inspiring, motivating, encouraging those around me to achieve the best that they can be? Am I a good listener? Do I take time to acknowledge others and their needs?

I reflect back on my teens years growing up under John Maxwell in San Diego and how those weekly teachings impacted me and inspired me. Can I do the same for my team?

I know as leaders and as humans we can place a substantial amount of pressure upon ourselves to be great and inspire those around us to be great. We spend more time in self reflection and we see our short comings then our positives.

I came across a great article by INC. and wanted to share with you. If you use the following sayings day in and day out you might be doing a great job as a leader and communicator.

I was encouraged by the below phrases and said to myself, "I'm doing okay."

1. "We could not have done it without your hard effort."

2. "I could use your advice on what direction to take."

3. "How can I help?"

4. "I trust you."

5. "Honestly, I don't know."

6. "What do you need from me?"

Be encouraged and be an encouragement to others.
