This could enable the vast production of hydrogen within Scotland allowing more hydrogen to enter the nation’s energy market providing a basis to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors.
In addition to this, the hydrogen produced here could also be used to be exported to international markets accelerating the adoption of the clean energy carrier.
With this development, it enables Aberdeen to increase its focus in utilising hydrogen to decarbonise the city and become an exhibition of the potential of using hydrogen to power several sectors within the area.
