Planet Pulse: A rhythmic check in on climate change

𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲 - a curated sample of the week’s more interesting, important, or just amusing stories.

This week’s edition has a singular theme: emissions.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but emissions were the entire reason for mounting the effort to mitigate the impact of climate change.

Sometimes I get confused because climate advocates appear to act more like lobbyists for the solar industry than a group focused on lowering global greenhouse gas emissions.

Our discussion of emissions covers cherry-picking, a tale of two key countries seemingly headed in opposite directions, and a more realistic view of our current status.

The focus on cherry-picking and/or inaccurately portraying data is a sore spot with me. It has become commonplace in almost every media outlet, and it is doing society a great disservice.
