Low-income families and solar groups are taking the EPA to court, arguing the agency had no right to pull the plug on the Solar for All program. (Solar Power World)
The lawsuit, filed Monday in federal court by the Southern Environmental Law Center and Lawyers for Good Government, says the EPA wrongly ended the $7B program after Congress passed its recent budget bill.
Plaintiffs—including the Rhode Island AFL-CIO, several solar companies, and a Georgia homeowner—say the money was already committed and legally protected.
