On February 23, the Biden-Harris administration will host their first offshore wind energy auction. This sale will include 6 lease areas - from the New York harbor to the southern New Jersey coast - that cover more than 488,000 acres.

We estimate that this sale could result in 5.6 to 7 gigawatts of offshore wind energy, which is enough to power nearly 2 million homes.
