A new challenge for solar energy in Brazil
In the medium term, ANEEL (the regulator) will make the free energy market available to all consumers.
Thus, residential consumers will be also able to migrate to this market that has already offered (for many years) to free corporate and institutional customers a hefty savings in relation to regulated rates.
And how does this affect decision-making processes?
It will be desirable to consider that the prices for residential consumers will have also a significant reduction with respect to the ongoing regulated rates.
In other words, in the feasibility studies of investments in solar energy related solutions the free prices that will "reign" in the market in a few years should be considered.
This because this type of investment always presupposes long-term analysis.
