This presentation was delivered during the national conference on "Sustainable Energy Transition and achieving Carbon Neutrality in the Power Sector, organized by the Central Board of Irrigation & Power (CBIP) and CIGRE-India, supported by Central Electricity Authority (CEA).

The authors - K Ramakrishnan, Soubhagya Parija and Jayant Sinha - discuss the risks associated with energy transition and electricity decarbonization in the Indian Power Sector, and ways of managing them to drive India's march towards carbon neutrality. 

The benefits of Energy Transition were also highlighted, notably GHG emission reduction, improved energy security, economic growth, job creation, energy resource and cost optimization, grid resilience, energy equity and promoting sustainability.
