The earth has an abundance of geothermal energy. To date, that energy has gone generally untapped. Like other technologies, geothermal has been too expensive and too difficult to locate and access. The Department of Energy thinks we can increase the amount of power generated from geothermal 20-fold by 2050. And lately, investors seem to agree. Are they right? Â
