Duke Energy has agreed to sell its commercial distributed generation business to an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC for an enterprise value of $364 million. The distributed generation business being sold includes REC Solar operating assets, development pipeline and O&M portfolio, as well as distributed fuel cell projects managed by Bloom Energy. Duke recently announced plans to sell a 3.4 GW portfolio of solar, wind and battery storage projects to Brookfield Renewables for $2.8 billion. The company's recent renewable asset sales have been part of their unregulated businesses. Going forward, the company intends to focus on its regulated assets.
