A European clean-energy data center platform called GreenScale has been backed by DTCP

New from Cool Vector: Europe's green-power mandate drove DTCP's recent investment in GreenScale, a development platform that will build large data center campuses powered by renewable energy.

GreenScale represents an evolution of the data center industry in Europe toward better collaboration between data center developers and grid operators, says Zahl Limbuwala, Operating Partner at Germany-based investment firm DTCP. The developer will "work with the gird operators in a mutually beneficial way," says Limbuwala.

In an interview with Cool Vector, Limbuwala notes that constrained grid capacity is expanding data center investment from the main hubs of London, Paris and Amsterdam to second-tier markets like Berlin, Madrid and Manchester.

Limbuwala shares his insights in the Cool Vector episode, "Europe's Tier-Two Data Center Markets Look Increasingly Attractive: DTCP," on the Cool Vector YouTube channel.
