Rogers Herndon is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal's U.S. Energy practice in Houston. He specializes in corporate transformations, cash flow improvement, M&A planning and integration, strategic advisory, and interim management roles within the energy sector.
With almost 30 years of operating and leadership experience, Mr. Herndon brings significant expertise and a practical approach to addressing a wide variety of challenges across upstream, midstream, oilfield services, private equity and utility sectors.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Herndon spent five years as CEO of Quintana Energy Services (QES), a diversified provider of drilling and completion services to leading E&P customers across the major U.S. onshore operating basins. He led the company as it pursued transformative consolidation and navigated the challenging market downturn in 2015 – 2016 and its subsequent IPO. Previously, Mr. Herndon served as Chief Investment Officer of QES’s private equity sponsor, Quintana Energy Partners (Quintana).
Previously, Mr. Herndon served as Executive Vice President and Member of the Office of the CEO for Reliant Energy, where he led strategy, business development and M&A activities. He also held leadership roles with Bank of America Global Commodities, PSE&G, Enron and Dynegy, and was a co-founder of Phillips Royalty Partners.
Mr. Herndon earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington and Lee University and an MBA (concentration in finance) from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
