Jim Madej

Jim is the CEO of Franklin Energy and AM Conservation Group. The Franklin companies are committed to helping utilities and other market participants with solutions to drive Energy Efficiency program adoption and customer satisfaction. Jim is dedicated to evolving energy systems and creating a more effective business model that benefits the environment and the economy. As CEO, Jim guides the strategic direction and business operations, applying his extensive background in business transformation, operational leadership, energy efficiency, and customer experience.

Before joining Franklin, Jim was CEO at VEIC, Jim was the Chief Customer Officer at National Grid USA and the Director of National and Government Sales and Customer Services at the Hess Corporation. He has also held numerous leadership roles at the General Electric Company, where he began his professional career. Jim served as a board member of the Alliance to Save Energy, the Brooklyn Hospital, and Greener U.

Jim currently sits as an advisory board member of Custom Essence.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from St. Michael’s College in Colchester, VT and completed a comprehensive series of business education courses at GE’s Crotonville Management Development Center.
