Christian Newman has over 20 years of the experience working in the environmental and energy sector. Christian holds Master's degrees in both Wildlife Ecology as well as Business. His educational training and professional experience are as a wildlife biologist with a focus on endangered and protected species. He has applied the ESA, BGEPA, and other protected species regulations and guidelines for the electric power industry ranging from basic research, negotiating incidental take permits with USFWS and developing technologies to reduce potential impacts from energy development. He has successfully worked throughout the US and internationally writing winning proposals and leading teams comprised of universities, NGOs, energy companies, consultants, and government to do research or develop innovative solutions for the power industry.
