Brian is responsible for managing EPRI research related to the grid-integration of distributed energy resources such as solar photovoltaic and battery storage systems. Brian’s research has included control, information and communication technologies, with an emphasis on standards and interoperability. This research includes power system modeling and the capabilities of end devices to provide grid-supportive services and the employment of SCADA, advanced metering systems (AMI) and public communication infrastructure to satisfy the needs of the market
