BioDan Klein is President of Twenty-First Strategies, with over 40 years of experience in energy and environmental policy and analysis. Formerly a Senior Vice President and Director at the consulting firm ICF, he was a lead officer in developing the Integrated Planning Model (IPM) for the electric power sector, still in wide use by EPA, utilities, and others. Since founding Twenty-First Strategies in 1995, his work has focused primarily on climate change, energy security, strategic planning for electric power, and sustainability, conducted for a wide range of government, industry, and environmental organizations. He has authored dozens of conference presentations, journal papers, and expert witness testimonies.
Mr. Klein is also a Managing Partner of Libertad Power, developing clean hydrogen infrastructure and power generation alternatives for a decarbonized economy, primarily in the southwestern U.S. The six Partners of Libertad collectively have well over 200 years of relevant experience in energy, public policy, finance, project development, electric utility operations, and environmental matters.
