We are undergoing historic changes in the energy industry and I'm excited to have the opportunity to shape these changes for the better.
Late last year my partners and I launched Bakken Midstream Natural Gas. Our mission is develop and own value-added natural gas infrastructure in North Dakota which will become the next great story in the United States becoming the energy leader of the world.
Prior to launching Bakken Midstream I was CEO of the exceptional team that built Ice Energy into a leader in the fast developing market for grid scale energy storage which is a critical part of accelerating and broadening the adoption of renewables.
I have been able to help a number of other startups including OGL Engineering, a leader in geomatics (https://www.orthoshop.com/) and Nelumbo, a nanotechnology, advanced materials venture about to disrupt the cooling and heating industry (https://www.nelumbo.io/). My focus with these startup has been innovative technology applied to energy, infrastructure, and the environment.
Ever since my wife was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age 40, I have done all I can as a volunteer to help find a cure for this disease, including volunteer leadership roles with JDRF and raising tens of millions for the cause, and the job's not yet done. More recently I've become interested and am working with non-profits devoted to improving public education.
