I'm Mariângela Ciodaro, founder of CSD Strategy, a decision and risk advisory firm based in Texas. We support investors and developers facing complex, high-stakes decisions in energy and infrastructure — at the front end of the process, where regulatory, environmental, technical and financial risks intersect, before capital is committed.
My background is in environmental and regulatory strategy for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects, including 19+ years leading permitting and socio-environmental risk work on transmission, generation and industrial projects in Brazil — one of the world's most complex regulatory environments for energy development. That experience shaped a simple conviction: the most expensive project failures are rarely engineering failures. They are decision failures, made early, under uncertainty, without structure.
At CSD Strategy, we bring structure, clarity and defensible rationale to those early decisions — so that when our clients commit capital, there are no blind spots waiting to become very expensive later.
Here on Energy Central, I write about decision quality in the energy transition: how investors and developers can frame regulatory and environmental risk before it frames them.
