Executive Solution Architect for UDC and SAFe® 4 Certified Agilist (SA), Tom has over 25 years of experience designing and integrating utility solutions around GIS and related technologies, including advanced metering infrastructure and smart grid solutions.
Tom’s expertise encompasses both electric and gas with a special interest in Gas Pipeline integrity. He is currently serving as the Solution Architect for Deloitte in the ADMS consolidation project at Exelon. Tom brings an unmatched skill set in terms of utility domain knowledge being combined with information technology expertise.
Over the past 20 years, Tom has been the Lead Architect for numerous significant utility projects spanning Smart Grid, Pipeline Integrity and integrated spatial solutions and is a recognized expert in these areas. His background includes leveraging enterprise GIS technology into the utility workspace and providing innovative solutions that address transmission line operations, vegetation management, circuit patrols, pole inspections, transmission line rerating, outage communications, operational awareness, interruption reliability and reporting, emergency preparedness planning and advanced asset management paradigms: condition based maintenance, condition based inspections, reliability centered maintenance and predicted device failure based maintenance. Tom’s previous experience includes being the key Solution Architect at UGC Consulting, Convergent Group, KEMA, Enspiria and Black & Veatch.
