Meg Matt is the Executive Vice President of Client Relations for Opinion Dynamics. Her primary responsibilities include strengthening the firm’s brand identity via internal and external communications, as well as managing client relations and marketing.

Prior to joining Opinion Dynamics, Ms. Matt was the president and CEO of the Association of Energy Services Professionals, a non-profit professional development association specializing in serving the information and content needs of over 2200 members working in the energy efficiency and demand response arena.  As CEO of AESP she worked closely with the board of directors to develop the association’s strategic direction, as well as overseeing all member-centric projects and conferences.  Prior to running AESP, Ms. Matt was a long-time member of AESP’s board of directors and served a two-year elected term as board chair.

Ms. Matt has provided integrated corporate and marketing communications strategy to the energy industry for over 25 years, including 13 years with Arizona Public Service (APS), the largest investor-owned electric utility in the state.  While at APS she handled several high-profile communications projects including public and employee communications during the transition of Unit 1/Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant from construction to start up. (Palo Verde is the nation’s largest nuclear power plant with three units rated at 1200MW each.) She also developed communications strategies for the shareholder relations department during a hostile (and unsuccessful) takeover attempt of Pinnacle West Capital Corporation (the holding company of APS.

Ms. Matt provided marketing and communications services to the energy efficiency industry for software and research firms, and then formed her own company, The Matt Group, in 2001. Her organization served clients including British Telecomm, Federal Express, Chartwell, Opinion Dynamics and Southern California Gas, among others.

In 2005 Ms. Matt served on the inaugural peer review committee for the Office of Federal Energy Management Programs (FEMP).  The findings of this committee are still being cited today.  Also in that year, she was named a contributing editor to “Electric Light & Power” magazine for which she wrote a monthly marketing column.
