Regional Director Joe Bickham, CEM, oversees Franklin Energy's implementation of DSM portfolios for Michigan’s largest electric and natural gas utilities. He manages operations to balance energy savings and program delivery across the business solutions. Joe focuses on innovative technologies and growing vertical market energy efficiency participation throughout the state. Utilizing project management skills and resources, he expands the structure of program offerings and manages a dedicated staff. Joe has strong ties to Michigan. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University. Before joining Franklin Energy, he held positions with the university, DTE Energy, and a leading Michigan-based energy recovery firm. Joe is the President of the AESP Great Lakes Chapter and has experience presenting on his expertise in program design and delivery at many conferences including the World Energy Engineering Conference, ACEEE National Conference and EER Conference, ASHRAE Chapter Meetings, and AESP Summer Study in Toronto.
