Richard Schlesinger is a writer and filmmaker. His work has been published in major periodicals, including Fortune, Forbes, Current Biography, EnergyBiz, and Boardroom’s Bottom Line Personal. He has contributed to books published by T.Y. Crowell, R.R. Bowker, Doubleday and Random House. He was a writer for Neglect Not the Children, a one-hour PBS documentary on the Manhattan Valley Project in New York City, hosted by Morgan Freeman. With his wife, the artist and filmmaker Barbara Gordon, he wrote and produced Casting Faith, a documentary about the sculptor Gillian Jagger, that was broadcast on PBS stations around the country and featured in a special program on life-changing films at the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival in 2017. He has worked as a writer and consultant to major corporations and non-profit organizations, including American Express, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Shell Oil Company, JPMorgan Chase, NYNEX, Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal, The Economist, the American Cancer Society, New York State Department of Economic Development, Wachovia Bank, Bank of America and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. He has taught writing and literature at the City College of CUNY and Touro College in New York.
