I thought I wanted to design automobiles until I took an internship at Franklin Energy over 22 years ago working on a rental characterization study for Wisconsin. We recruited thousands of homes and multifamily properties to get assessments leveraging then state of the art measurement and modeling tools. Since, then I have dedicated my career to energy efficiency spending over a decade as an engineer working on, designing and managing energy efficiency programs for residential, commercial, multifamily and small business customers with a focus on retro-commissioning, industrial systems and finding ways to eliminate non-economic barriers to participation. In 2013, I was asked to work with a software lead to develop auditing software which led to a shift into product development, product management, technical sales and finally overseeing the product management, technical project management and support teams for our in-house developed software that enables program delivery. With the acquisition of Snugg Pro, a best-in-class energy auditing and workflow management platform for whole home residential offerings, I feel I have come full circle combining software and engineering expertise to assist the industry's evolution towards electrification and decarbonization.
