Sebastian Walter Young

Mr. Walter Young is an associate in utility management with experience in the utility industry promoting new program design, grid resilience, and effective compliance and governance through data analytics. He is assessing operational resilience in utilities to inform business transformation through process improvement, capital planning, asset monitoring, and maintenance. He has worked with clients to develop organizational data gathering and assurance systems to track key performance indicators and establish compliance controls. He has coordinated power procurement and developed new portfolio management programs, administering competitive bid solicitation programs and negotiating contracts to meet renewable portfolio and reliability standards. Previously, he worked with multiple climate education and advocacy organizations, supporting legislative and regulatory policy to decarbonize generation and manage novel energy research and development. Mr. Walter Young has experience with the full life cycle of developing and sustaining solutions in Microsoft Power BI, R, and VBA. He holds a Master of Studies in Law and a Bachelor’s in Physics from the University of Southern California.
