Ujjal leads the ORB Cleantech Inc training and advising Hydrogen and CCUS projects for the global energy transition.

Dr. Ujjal Ghosh is a seasoned chemical engineer with over 20 years of experience in teaching, corporate training, and research across India, Australia, Qatar, Malaysia, and China. He holds an M.Tech and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, and completed his post-doctoral research at the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Dr. Ghosh has taught IChemE, ABET, and AICTE accredited chemical engineering modules to students at leading academic and government institutions, including the University of Melbourne, Curtin University in Malaysia, and Qatar University. His industry collaborations are extensive, encompassing partnerships with International Power’s Hazelwood power station in Australia, Tenaga National in Malaysia, SHELL Qatar, TOTAL Qatar, Qatar Chemical, and Qatar Petroleum, among others, focusing on research and skill development.

One of Dr. Ghosh’s notable achievements includes designing and scaling up CO2 capture systems from lab scale to pilot scale. This includes a 25 TPD post-combustion capture system and a 0.5 TPD pre-combustion CO2 capture system in Victoria, Australia, in collaboration with companies such as BHP, Chevron, Shell, and TotalEnergies. He has delivered keynotes and invited talks at various industries and conferences in Singapore, Australia, the USA, Qatar, India, China, and Malaysia. His accolades include the Faculty Industrial Experience Award by Qatar Shell, the CHEMCON Distinguished Speaker Award by the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), and the ATSE Early Research Career Symposium Fellowship by the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.
