BioZaher Fawwaz is the Regional Sales Director for Mitsubishi Power Aero in the MENAT (Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey) region since 2017 and is based in Dubai, UAE. He also leads the company’s sales representatives in the region and is responsible for the company’s regional business growth in the aero-derivative gas turbine business.
In his previous role at Baker Hughes General Electric (currently named Baker Hughes), he served as commercial development director for the turbomachinery aftermarket business. Zaher was responsible for supporting regional growth and targets, commercial structuring of key complex deals, and ensuring commercial intensity. He was also instrumental in driving the company’s revenue recognition with key accounts including Saudi Aramco and Kuwait Oil Company.
Before joining Baker Hughes in April 2014, Zaher held several positions with leading companies in the Oil & Energy industry including General Electric Granite Services (currently named GE Field Core), a service business for GE Energy division, and Petrofac, a leading Oil & Gas EPC company. With GE Field Core, Zaher developed new business streams to serve energy customers (such as Saudi Aramco and Qatar Gas) with non-GE power generation fleet technologies. With Petrofac, Zaher worked closely with equipment vendors from the technical assessment stage up to successful delivery and installation on site, advancing the delivery of critical packages for Oil & Gas projects in the region.
