Bio

I am currently working as a Senior Systems Analyst at Sandia National Laboratories. In this role, I support the Integrated Security Solutions Division's research and development on climate change with an emphasis on the science and engineering of energy and water infrastructure systems.

I have a broad background in public, private, academic, and entrepreneurial settings. My general expertise covers engineering, science, management consulting, policy, audit, and education. Prior to joining Sandia, I developed computational tools for data science, geographic information systems (GIS), and forecasting related to sustainable and resilient infrastructure systems. I have published scientific works as a principal author in high-quality outlets, including the Journal of Applied Energy, the Journal of Energy Policy, and the California State Energy Commission. The majority of my publications to date have focused on technical methods for electricity infrastructure planning and operations with an emphasis on extreme weather and system stability.

As for my letters, I earned my B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona, my M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, my Ph.D. in Civil, Environmental, and Sustainable Engineering from Arizona State University, and my Professional Engineer License in Electric Power in the State of California.

In my leisure time, I enjoy exploring new cultures, learning new skills, and giving back to the community. I have traveled to over 20 countries, won awards in uncommon sports, and been an invited speaker on several occasions.
