Paul Hallas

Paul has spent a long career in and around the energy business, working in the industry and as a consultant. In his time with Centrica (1997-2019), he held senior positions in strategy, commercial, business development/M&A and regulatory areas. He has significant experience of energy procurement, origination and commercial contract negotiation. Paul became a NED in January 2017 and is now on the Advisory Board of IRT Surveys, a provider of energy efficiency services to the housing sector. His latest NED role is with Manchester Heat Network, a big city district heating business. Paul is also a Director of SE24 Sustainable Energy, a not-for-profit community organisation delivering rooftop solar and other investment projects in south London.  Alongside that, he works as an independent consultant and has advised clients in the UK, Germany, Ireland, Japan and China since leaving Centrica at the end of 2019. A lot of his work is focused on the transition towards Net Zero and he is well placed to support energy sector organisations as they grow and develop.
