- Vice President, Project & Business Development, NYPA (March 2015 to May 2016) Leading a multidisciplinary team that: Permitted innovative series compensation project to ease NYS transmission constraints. Developed creative transmission system solutions to competitively bid into NYISO RFS process. Established an integrated offshore wind project strategy. Obtained internal & board approvals and initiated permitting process to rebuild 85 mi transmission line($350-400MM), including extensive public and stakeholder outreach program. Continued FERC relicensing process of 1160 MW pump storage facility, including detailed studies and public meetings.

- Executive Consultant for energy & business investment, strategic planning, start-ups, and executive management. Contracts included initiatives for innovative energy efficient building systems & renewable energy companies; including wind, solar, and battery technologies.
Lead wind power portfolio activities for Wexford Capital; including business development and acquisitions, energy market assessments, project development, and investment strategies for a $6 billion private equity group.
- Senior Development Officer, General Compression Lead business development for NPI of innovative compressed air energy storage power projects, including marketing and sales, project siting, and integration into the US electricity markets.
- Vice President, East Coast Operations, Airtricity (June 2004 – Sept 2006) Lead start-up of wind energy business including project & land development, wind assessment, environmental permitting, interconnection, PPA, engineering, and construction. Established a 500MW portfolio of wind projects in New York and Pennsylvania. Responsible for regional P&L and strategic planning.
GE Energy & Power Experience (Aug 1984 - June 2004)
- Global Development Manager, Offshore Wind Energy development and deal leadership for Arklow bank project, ~$70MM.
- Manager, Energy Products Strategic Business Initiatives Commercial lead on a team that developed a 1-3 year restructuring plan, anticipating a business downturn from $15 billion to $5 billion.
- Commercial Director - Delivered over $700M in new power generation order commitments, achieving record margins and negotiating very favorable terms and conditions.
- Six Sigma Commercial Quality Built a cross-functional team to pioneer the application of Six Sigma Commercial Quality/DFSS and completely redesigned the pricing, commercial & risk review processes for GEPS, integrating the marketing, sales, engineering, project management, and customer delivery organizations while realizing over $5 million of savings and productivity improvements with increased customer satisfaction.
- Project Manager/ Proposal Team Leader/Project Engineer Successfully managed power plant projects ($30-$150MM), simple and combined cycle, including engineering, sourcing, installation, and start-up. Managed schedules, personnel, and negotiations of more than 120 global proposals worth approximately $3 billion annually and reduced proposal cost from $5 to $3 million annually.
- Corporate R&D Project Engineer - Managed $2 million DOE R&D projects for gasification of alternatives fuels, hot fuel gas clean-up development. On team developing innovated cooling for GT blade design.
- Naval Nuclear Operations Engineer & Trainer - Operating engineer for a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant Prototype; performing operations, design, testing, maintenance, and repair of a nuclear facility. Supervised, planned, and performed the training of over 100 Naval and civilian personnel.
