Bio
I’m the founder of Neliti, a research-infrastructure company that equips more than 250 institutions across Asia-Pacific with open-access repositories. Over the past decade I’ve focused on the energy sector, designing knowledge-management systems that turn scattered grey literature into discoverable, citable resources for engineers, policy-makers and investors. My work began when the Indonesian Institute for Energy Economics asked me to migrate its print archive into a cloud-hosted repository. I built a platform that now holds over 1,000 papers, each tagged with a hybrid metadata schema that blends Dublin Core with IEA and UNSD energy taxonomies. Since then I’ve led similar projects for Vietnam’s Energy Information Centre and Australia’s Remote-Area Renewable Energy Research Hub, collectively ingesting more than 1.3 million documents and datasets. Because accessibility is meaningless without discovery, I integrated Elasticsearch and transformer-based semantic ranking into Neliti’s architecture. Search times fell by 42 percent and client citation rates rose by almost 70 percent within two years. To ensure global interoperability I implemented OAI-PMH harvesting and DOI minting, so our collections flow seamlessly into Scopus, OpenAIRE and Google Dataset Search. I also advise ADB-funded renewable-energy programmes on research transparency and routinely publish practical guides that help small utilities build low-cost repositories. Whether the challenge is metadata strategy, rights management or AI-driven discovery, I bring hands-on experience converting raw technical output into an organised library that accelerates innovation. As a contributor to Energy Central, I’ll share field-tested tactics for creating, curating and measuring high-impact knowledge bases, showing how robust information architecture can be as critical to the energy transition as turbines and transformers.
