Nuclear Power Plant Engineer. In my study at KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School in which I specialized in Project Management in Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) Construction, my team and I explored the state-of-practice in construction management, and has published eight (8) project reports on the specific topics of Project Delivery and Contract Management; Scheduling and Delay Management; Estimation and Cost Control; Procurement and Vendor Management; Change Management; Dispute Resolution, and Risk Management. We have also identified advanced construction technologies integrated in a NPP case study to either improve the quality of work and/or help reduce construction schedule, cost, and risk. Aside from team outputs, I have produced a project report on the selection of appropriate new generation nuclear technology through a systems engineering approach. I have also engaged myself in Reactor Physics, Core Management, Stakeholder Management, and Public Acceptance. In addition to the knowledge I’ve obtained from my education, my internship at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, Co. (KHNP) Headquarters and at KHNP – Central Research Institute has provided me first-hand and practical experience specially when I was involved in a review of power purchase agreement for energy projects, research for new NPP technologies, and assessment of potential markets for technology export. I also learned to work in interdisciplinary teams that included both technical and non-technical fields. I was able to improve my interpersonal skills particularly in effective communication, teamwork, and professionalism. I am certain that I could contribute to the best of what I do have to the company’s vision where talented people are the greatest asset and the source of global competitiveness.
