EnergyHub has released a "Turing test" for the power grid, challenging VPPs to prove they can mimic gas peakers indistinguishably. (Utility Dive)
Inspired by AI's Turing test, the so-called “Huels Test” asks if a grid operator can tell the difference between a fossil plant and a VPP based on visibility, scheduling, and 24/7 availability.
EnergyHub also debuted a 5-level "maturity model" to guide the industry from simple manual demand response (Level 0) to fully autonomous, grid-adaptive systems (Level 4) that could unlock up to $210/kW in value within years.
