NEWS: How Nira Energy is using software to unclog the interconnection queue

Nira Energy just announced its first strategic investment to help developers save time—and millions of dollars—connecting to the grid. (Latitude Media)

  • The software startup, which analyzes utility data to determine the best time and place to deploy distributed energy resources, took on Chicago-based venture firm Energize Capital as its first major investor.

  • While exact deal terms weren’t disclosed, Energize described the agreement as “one of the larger investments” that the VC firm has made as part of its $2 billion portfolio (which includes solar development and distributed grid startups).
