The Grid Research, Innovation, and Transformation (GRIT) initiative will develop and test next-gen tools like smart DER controls, machine learning for power flows, and better modeling of large new loads (read: data centers).
The program will connect utilities, academia, and vendors through pilots, a new partnership track, and ERCOT’s annual innovation summit—with a focus on solutions ready for grid-wide deployment.
