Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak took part in the ceremony of signing agreements on cooperation in the development of high-tech areas between the Government of Russia and interested organizations - Rosatom and Gazprom - on the road maps "Development of hydrogen energy" and "Energy storage systems".
“The modern fuel and energy complex is a high-tech sector and is a customer and driver of domestic industry and science. For a long time the world will continue to use hydrocarbons and their highly processed products. But we all understand that the future in the energy sector lies with clean energy sources. That is why Russia is creating a reserve in the development of hydrogen energy and energy storage systems. It is planned that by 2024 at least 25 thousand electric vehicles will be produced in Russia and more than 9 thousand charging stations will be opened. Domestic demand for energy storage devices will reach 17.5 GWh, of which 16 GWh per year will be for electric vehicles,” said Alexander Novak, commenting on the agenda of the meeting.
