Call for Articles – Navigating the Future: Investing in the Grid [Energy Central Special Issue Series]

The energy grid, often considered the bedrock of the ongoing energy transition, stands resilient amid a dynamic landscape of evolving transmission technologies and daily technological breakthroughs. As the demand for electricity continues its upward trajectory, annual investments become paramount to sustaining the grid's reliability and resilience.  Despite facing constant strain and surpassing life expectancy predictions, the grid remains a stalwart performer. Calls for modernization, digitalization, and decarbonization resonate, but the journey demands both time and financial commitment. The question echoes: How will the past and present grid evolve into the future grid we urgently need?
