MD&A Webinars | Assessing & Extending the Life of your Turbine-Generator Fleet
Rotors in E and F-class gas turbines produced in the 1990s and early 21st century are approaching the number of starts and hours defined by the OEM as the design service life (aka End-of-Life). Rotor end-of-life is usually governed by but a few of the rotor components – the weak-link components. The remaining rotor components may have additional maintenance intervals of useful life remaining, either as-is or with minor refurbishment. The weak link components and the factors affecting part lives will be reviewed. The MD&A rotor life extension philosophy and replacement part offerings, including a patented design improvement, will be described.
Key Takeaways:
1. MD&A has a detailed understanding of what limits gas turbine rotor part lives
2. MD&A offers an OEM-caliber alternative to OEM rotor life extension programs
3. MD&A is producing high-quality replacement components for E and F-class gas turbine rotors
