Its back to drawing board for Tucson Electric Power (TEP). The utility will have to figure out to spend the $12 million collected from customers as part of their “demand-side management” program. The money piled up during the pandemic as COVID restrictions limited efficiency projects and state regulators vetoed the utilities proposal to refund customers. The utility is considering waiving budget caps and increasing rebates to further incentivize energy efficiency upgrades for residential and commercial customers.
