Municipalities want to improve their efficiency but upgrades and retrofits can be expensive. In Michigan, Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced three energy-efficiency projects that won’t cost the state a dime. Michigan will get $5 million in funding from the new Energy Efficiency Revolving Fund (EERF). Whitmer hopes to ‘lead by example’ in clean energy while saving taxpayer dollars.
