The state owned utility Vattenfall in Sweden have found the solution for the problems at phase to ground fault. The technic reduces the zero sequence current to almost zero and compensates the IC at the same time. The system detects faults up to 100 MOhm and indicates intermittent errors. The focus has been to increase personal safety and reduce the down time at fault to a minimum.
