According to a story by Gabriel Hauari, USA TODAY, "A deadly storm system rolled through the Northeast Monday, bringing with it torrential rains and strong winds that killed at least four people across the region, as well as knocking out power and delaying flights. According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts of up to 70 mph were recorded along the southern New England shoreline, while trees and power lines were downed, and weather warnings were issued from North Carolina to Maine. According to data from www.poweroutage.us, at around 8:00 AM this morning, more than 425,000 Maine electricity customers were still without power. Maine's largest retail electricity provider, Central Maine Power Company, anticipates a multi-day restoration effort involving more than 400 line and 200 tree crews. Kudos to the line and tree crews who keep the lights on!
