Nuclear Plantx Maximize Output

Load management is challenging because utilities often have trouble ensuring that maximum plant production. Not so with nuclear power. In fact of the 22 US plants, only one operated below 96% efficiency this year, and only four were less than 100%. However, the industry is willingly trading nuclear’s consistency for more unstable energy sources as many of these facilities are being closed with no new ones in the pipeline.
