Wyoming just approved what could become the largest single AI campus in the US—a project predicted to double the state’s current energy generation. (Inside Climate News)
Project Jade, a joint venture between Crusoe and Tallgrass Energy, will launch with a capacity of 1.8 GW—using 5X more electricity than all the homes in the state combined—with plans to scale to 10 GW.
To feed this beast, the campus will use on-site natural gas turbines, while promising to eventually use carbon capture to mitigate emissions.
