Texas regulators approved Entergy’s $1.4B SETEX transmission project—a 145-mile, 500-kV line aimed at reinforcing Southeast Texas reliability. (Utility Dive)
The project strengthens MISO’s grid and adds two new substations across eight counties. The PUC also awarded $381M in grants from the Texas Energy Fund’s “Outside ERCOT” program, with roughly half earmarked for Entergy reliability upgrades.
Combined with recent gas plant approvals, Entergy has now secured ~$4B in new Texas infrastructure investments.
While we’re here: Entergy announced late last week that it’s powering a $4B data center for Google near the Arkansas-Tennessee state line, using solar power and existing generation in the area.
