Here’s a fun one: Sheep are joining the solar boom in Texas. (Clean Technica)
Global energy developer Enel has launched its GulfStar solar and storage complex, a 556 MW solar project paired with a 355 MW battery system—making it one of the largest hybrid facilities in the US.
The twist: GulfStar is also a pasture. Through a contract with Texas Solar Sheep Co., ~6K sheep will graze across 10K acres of Enel’s solar sites—trimming grass, fertilizing soil, and cutting maintenance costs. It’s the largest “solar grazing” partnership in the country.
