NEWS: Governors seek more influence over PJM amid ‘crisis of confidence’

PJM is facing an “unprecedented crisis of confidence” and needs a leadership overhaul, per governors of nine states representing most of the grid operator’s customers. (Utility Dive)

  • States are increasingly considering leaving PJM due to what they’ve diagnosed as a “multi-year inability” to bring on new resources or develop long-term transmission plans. 

  • These governors also called for state-led board member selections to fill two vacant PJM board seats, rather than the typical closed-door process.
