A cold winter increased demand for natural gas resulting in more withdrawals from U.S. natural gas storage than expected, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). The withdrawals occurred even though production was up. By the end of March, the natural gas reserves in the U.S Lower 48 states was at its lowest level since 2019.
