Evergy, Inc. has had energy efficiency programs in the past but now establishing those programs has proven difficult. The state ranks 47th out of the 50 states and is behind nearly every state in its investment in energy efficiency policies and programs. Unable to reach an agreement with Kansas Corporation Commission, utilities like Evergy may need to consider other ways to conserve energy this winter.
