USA, DoE | Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP)

TODAY: U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced a $2.2 billion investment in the nation’s grid for eight projects across 18 states to bolster the power system against growing threats of extreme weather and climate change.

With funding from the Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) Program, these projects will use innovative approaches to transmission, storage, and distribution infrastructure to enhance grid resilience and reliability while increasing access to renewable energy and creating thousands of good-paying jobs.
