Energy (Brazil): How to Evolve Supply?

Energy (Brazil): How to Evolve Supply?

It's high time to address this issue! The electricity sector has enabled and continues to enable (unrealistically) parity between energy sources.

Solar energy produces 20% of its installed capacity

Wind energy around 40%

Hydroelectric energy varies between 40% and 70%

But... when it comes down to it, they all receive the same treatment. In other words, they are accounted for equally - wire fees.

And, of course, the (real) cost is different. It varies depending on the time of day and the season, as the national demand curve has specific characteristics, as shown by statistics from the National System Operator.

For the market as a whole to evolve, it would be desirable to allocate costs according to supply and demand hour by hour. As it stands, everyone pays a "proportion."

And so, Brazil can hardly aspire to leave the back of the market - in relation to the BRICS (in $/kWh).
